UCS Union’s new venue, Kai, will open for business on Friday 12 November 2010. Kai is located in the James Hehir Building, offering a stunning view of the Ipswich waterfront. Kai will open to the general public and will not be restricted to UCS students and staff.
Kai will open until midnight Sunday to Wednesday, 1am on Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturday. With capacity for 300, Kai will provide a varied and wide range of entertainment throughout the week and serve quality hot food until late evening. Breakfast will start at 8am and lunch at noon.
All profits from Kai will be reinvested in UCS Union’s core functions, i.e. student representation, support, sports and societies.
