Hollie McNish at SoapBox 2016

As I am writing this, it is the beginning of 2017 and the start of a new year always motivates me to get organised. In the process of backing up my data (ah the glamourous world of a promoter!), I have found lots of photos carefully filed and catalogued, but not made public. This is one such example. A volunteer at the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket, Peter Clarke, kindly offered to take photos of our gigs for us and sent them over a few months later. They are absolutely brilliant and I can’t thank him enough for taking the time to do this.

Hollie McNish launched our regular spoken word poetry club in April 2016, at the JPC, on Wednesday 27th, which just happened to be my birthday. It was one of the best birthday’s ever. Support came from Tilly Moses (previous Tilly Dalglish), Christine York and Andy Bennet, hosted by Stowmartian Dan Clark. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do. If you have taken photos at any SoapBox gigs and have some special ones floating around, we’d love to see them. Please email amy@getonthesoapbox.co.uk and we’ll put them on the website and link to your work. Love & Boxes.

P.s. Please do not screenshot and copy these photos without permission. Its not very nice and you'll just get terrible low resolution copies. All right remain with the photographer Peter Clarke. If you would like a copy, please email me and I will arange to send you a proper high res copy.
